Online and in person, Aberdeen
Who I work with
I work online throughout the UK, or from my therapy room in Aberdeen. My approach is person-centred and I appreciate each persons own experience of the world is unique to them. My areas of specialist interest include neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, autism, and dyspraxia. I also work in the LGBTQIA+ community providing an open accepting environment for clients who may wish to explore their gender identity / sexual orientation. Furthermore I have many years experience working with individuals who live with chronic health conditions such as fibromyalgia or endometriosis. Clients often bring their concerns around burnout, anxiety, stress, depression, and overwhelm.
About Me and How I Work
As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I appreciates the challenges and minority stress that can accompany living in a neurotypical normative world. I practice a person-centred approach which aligns with how much I value each client’s autonomy, along with the relationship which is built between the clients and the therapist. I am a social justice advocate and have campaigned for issues around women’s health and equality which has led me to represent these issues at a national level.
Qualifications & Professional Background
I holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology & Counselling and a PgDip in Person Centred-Counselling. I am a member of both COSCA and the BACP, giving you peace of mind that my practice is ethically sound and supported by the professional governing bodies for Scotland and the UK.
