Who I work with
I work with neurodivergent and neurotypical adults (18+), with a special interest in working with late-diagnosed or late-recognised people and the associated burnout and identity questionning that often comes along with that. However, I also work with other areas such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, sexuality and gender exploration. I am based in Burton-upon-Trent, where I offer face-to-face sessions, but I also offer sessions online or over the phone if you prefer.
About Me and How I Work
I am an integrative therapist. This means that I can draw on a range of approaches and tailor your therapeutic experience to YOU. I use a mixture of person-centred therapy, attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and creative therapies.
Qualifications & Professional Background
I qualified with a masters degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2009, and have worked in private practice since. I have also worked with the University of Derby, both lecturing and as a supervisor, and with Cruse Bereavement Care. I am in regular supervision, engage in regular professional development and training, and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK's largest professional body for therapists, and I hold full current professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
Next Steps
I start by offering an initial assessment session. This session costs £25 and gives us a chance to get the paperwork done and for you to tell me a bit about what you would like to achieve in therapy. I can then start to offer some ideas about how we might work together going forward. This session is no obligation, so if you feel I am not the right therapist for you for whatever reason there is no pressure to continue. If you do choose to go forward, full sessions are £50.
£25 for the assessment session, £50 per hour thereafter.
