Online and in person
In person session sessions are provided in Wootton Bridge, Isle of Wight (UK)
Who I work with
I work with adult autistic, ADHD and AuDHD clients who are exploring their identity, especially after late diagnosis and/or where they have additionally experienced significant trauma in their lives.
Many of my clients arrive in therapy wishing to navigate specific neurodivergent issues including masking, stimming, burnout, anxiety, executive functioning and coping with work challenges, as well as wider concerns such as exploring sexuality, understanding and connecting within intimate relationships, and loss and bereavement.
Due to being a Trauma Therapist, most of my clients have also experienced traumatic experiences in their lives and wish to explore this using a range of therapeutic interventions, including EMDR.
I am additionally a couples therapist, and have worked with very similar issues to those previously noted, with a range of couples who choose to come to see me for therapeutic support.
I offer both online sessions, and in-person therapy from my base on the Isle of Wight.
About Me and How I Work
I am a Psychodynamically trained, UKCP Clinical Psychotherapist, and, as a couples therapist and trauma therapist also work with several additional therapeutic approaches including Systemic, EMDR, ACT, CBT and Mindful Meditation.
Sessions are warm, welcoming and relaxed, with creative techniques used where these feel comfortable for the client. In addition, the outdoor therapeutic garden space is accessed during better weather, for clients who are finding the consulting room overwhelming or overstimulating, and feel more grounded in natural spaces.
It is especially important to me as a psychotherapist that the client feels comfortable and secure within the therapeutic space, and that the sessions become a safe and calm space where the truest version of the client can be shown without fear of judgement or sense of rejection. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and therefore sessions are always collaborative, with the client leading the way with my active support throughout.
Qualifications & Professional Background
I am currently amidst my PhD, which is concerned with eco-psychotherapy and the psychodynamic model of psychotherapy. My overarching aim from this is to contribute to the continued development of psychodynamic theory, and, within this, the modernisation of this mode of therapy.

As a Supervisor and Lecturer, I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Supervision (Individual and Group), a L3 teaching qualification and NVQ qualifications in assessing candidates, their work and their skills.
My original training was as a Registered Nurse, where I spent 25 years working across NHS mental health and learning disability services as well as in general healthcare; social work, which added a richness to my toolbox with regards to understanding safeguarding and risk and an undergraduate BA(Hons) degree.
