Louise Bennett

I work online and in-person in Wirral, Merseyside

I’m a person-centred therapist, which means our work is led by you — your pace, your values, and what feels most important to explore. I often work with people who are trying to make sense of who they are and what matters to them. I see counselling as a space for change, and part of my role is to gently challenge you when it’s helpful — always with care, and always in support of where you want to go.

Who I work with

I offer therapy in Wirral (and online) for autistic adults who are exploring identity following a late diagnosis. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling worn down by years of masking, burnout, and anxiety — and are looking for a space to feel more like themselves.

Together, we look at what it means to live more authentically, reconnect with your needs, and build relationships that feel right for you.

About Me and How I Work

Qualifications & Professional Background

I began training as a counsellor in 2021 and have since completed a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a postgraduate qualification in Psychotherapy. I’m also an NCPS Accredited Counsellor.

I’ve worked in a range of counselling settings and have a particular interest in supporting people at life crossroads — times when something needs to shift, but it’s not always clear how. I work with neurodivergent clients, especially those who are autistic. As someone who was diagnosed later in life, I really understand how challenging it can feel to navigate the world when your brain works differently. Whether you’re wanting to better understand how your mind works, figure out how to use your strengths, or find ways to manage the things that feel harder, I’m here to support you.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the Welfare Benefits sector, supporting people facing poverty, housing insecurity, and other systemic challenges — work that continues to shape my practice today.
