Helen Moss

I work in-person in York, UK, in a room accessible for wheelchair users.
I also work online and on the telephone.

In Gestalt therapy, we explore together what's happening for you in the moment: your feelings, thoughts, and the ways you relate to others. I help you notice patterns that may once have protected you but now feel limiting. Through this awareness, new possibilities emerge, bringing a greater sense of ease, authenticity, and connection with yourself and others. Note: Eye contact not required! We can work together towards: • Deepening awareness • Exploring the places where you feel stuck • Reconnecting with yourself and the world • Gaining self-awareness and self-acceptance • Finding new ways of relating and enriching your relationships • Identity exploration • Recovering from shame. When I am not working, I can be found walking a labyrinth or learning a new language. Nature is my sanctuary, and I love to run outdoors. Spirituality is also a significant part of my life. I explore my creativity in poetry and writing, and find solace in music and art.

Who I work with

I have experience and enjoy working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, from age 18 upwards, including:
neurodivergent people (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, Dyspraxia...), those with LGBTQIA+ identities, those living with chronic illness, those for whom English is not their first language, therapists, trainee therapists.

Themes I work with include:
spirituality and religion (I am open to all spiritual traditions and backgrounds), gender, sexuality (including asexuality), grief of all kinds, anxiety and shame, neurodivergence.
