Who I work with
I work with autistic adults and teenagers (11+) in exploring their identity and navigating their social and emotional world. I work from a trauma-informed stance with autism, as being in a world built for NT folk is, in itself traumatic. I have a special interest in supporting clients to navigate complex trauma and PTSD, which often goes hand in hand with a neurodivergent identity. This includes issues like burnout, masking, managing overloads and the issues with late diagnosis. I offer online therapy via zoom.
About Me and How I Work
I am a late-diagnosed autistic woman and I bring this lived experience into my practice and it informs my work. I am an integrative therapist, and work from a identity and neuro affirming stance. I am also trauma informed and this is the basis of all my work. I welcome self-identification and self-diagnosis, as you know yourself best.
Qualifications & Professional Background
I have a honors degree in Integrative Counselling and am currently studying towards an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have a PGCE and teach alongside my counselling practice. I have undertaken CPD training in trauma, Childhood sexual abuse, gender identity, working with Neurodiversity, creative therapy and working with suicide.
I am a registered member of the BACP and am covered with indemnity insurance.
