He/They

Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland; and online

I take a bespoke multi-layered approach to working with clients, relying primarily on a humanistic integrated framework. Depending on the client’s goals for therapy, we work together to, in the first instance, clarify exactly what the client is thinking and feeling about their situation. We then typically explore where those feelings and thoughts originate from, be it particular events, early family environment, or other factors. Once a client has a clear understanding of the WHAT and the WHY, we then look at HOW the client can integrate this knowledge. The goal is to, at the very least, develop strategies for managing these thoughts and feelings; or in the ideal scenario, to allow those thoughts and feelings to dissipate, so that they actually cease to exist.

Who I work with

I work with both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients, supporting them as they examine any issues that are causing them distress. I work with adult clients of all ages and backgrounds, supporting clients in addressing challenges across a wide array of presenting issues. These can include, amongst others, anxiety, stress, identity, relationships, self-esteem, childhood trauma, and personal development. Being neurodivergent myself, I welcome clients with all aspects of neurodivergence, and I also work with neurotypical clients across all of the areas just mentioned

Qualifications & Professional Background

I have a Master Degree in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (Clinical), with a particular focus on neurodivergent clients (and practitioners).

Next Steps

I offer a free initial consultation with no obligation, during which clients can talk about the challenges they are experiencing, and discuss how counselling and psychotherapy might be of benefit. Clients are under no pressure to proceed with therapy, and I emphasise that the client must feel comfortable that therapy, including the particular therapist that they are talking to, is a good match for the the client’s needs. I recommend trying to get a free consultation with three therapists before deciding to proceed, That way, you aren't under pressure to sign up for therapy with the first therapist you speak to. It gives you freedom to explore your difficulties and possible solutions, and you can then choose the therapist that feels like the best “fit” for your individual circumstances.
