Sarah Royle

She/Her
I work in Burton-upon-Trent in the UK. I also offer online or phone sessions.
I am a neurodivergent (autistic and ADHD) therapist, supervisor and trainer working with both neurodivergent and neurotypical supervisees and clients. I specialise in working with late-diagnosed clients and supervisees, and I am familiar with the associated issues that can come along with this, including burnout, imposter syndrome and the challenges of unmasking. I work with both qualified and trainee therapists from many different therapeutic modalities.

About Me and How I Work
I am an integrative practitioner, and I apply this ethos to my supervision as well. I work collaboratively with supervisees, keeping an overview of development, accountability and wellbeing needs. I can work with most modalities in supervision, as I will draw on your knowledge of your approach and work reflectively in this respect, but if you are a trainee, I suggest that we have a reasonably close match in the modalities we use in our work.
Professional Experience and Qualifications
I qualified with a masters degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy in 2009, and have worked in private practice since, qualifying as a supervisor in 2010, with a further certificate in supervision in 2018 and an advanced certificate in 2020. I have worked with the University of Derby, both lecturing and as a supervisor, and with Cruse Bereavement Care. I am in regular supervision, engage in regular professional development and training, and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the UK's largest professional body for therapists, and I hold full current professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Prior to retraining as a therapist, I spent ten years working as a stage manager in various theatre companies around the UK.
