Nick Langley

He/Him

In-person from my room in Hythe, Kent and online sessions if that's more suitable.

I offer supervision for therapists of all experience levels, including trainees. I have a particular interest in supporting people to develop an ethical and theoretically sound approach, while staying true to their own beliefs, style, and personality. As an AuDHD therapist, I am keen to explore ways of making therapy (and training) less neuro-normative and more affirming for both the therapists and the clients.

Who I Work With

I offer supervision for therapists of all experience levels, including trainees. I have a particular interest in supporting people to develop an ethical and theoretically sound approach, while staying true to their own beliefs, style, and personality. As an AuDHD therapist, I am keen to explore ways of making therapy (and training) less neuro-normative and more affirming for both the therapists and the clients.

About Me and How I Work

My approach to supervision is rooted in collaboration, support and honesty. I prefer to establish a horizontal hierarchy, meaning that both myself and my supervisee share the space as equals. This does not mean that I will never offer my opinion, but that I always aim to meet a 'burden of proof' when suggesting or directing as a supervisor; debate is welcomed! I am a warm, relational supervisor and with my teaching background, I have a good foundation in multiple approaches, although I am particularly interested in humanistic models, especially existential therapies.

I once had a supervisor who explained to me that "...challenge in supervision is essential, but it should never be oppressive." and I carry this into my own work.

Professional Experience and Qualifications

My practitioner qualifications include an Masters Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice, Diploma in Therapeutic Group Facilitation and Level 4 Diploma in Counselling. I also hold a Level 6 Diploma in Clinical Supervision and a Diploma in Lifelong Learning (DTLLS).

Next Steps

The easiest way to book a session is to visit my website and complete the booking form. You are also welcome to drop me an email.

I offer a flexible fee structure and I charge my supervisees the same amount that they charge their clients (or their sessional wage if within an organisations). If you charge £40 a session, then that's what I charge you; if it's £120, then my fee will reflect that.
