Who I Work With
I am a neurodivergent clinical supervisor in private practice with neurodivergent adults and as a supervisor I specialise in working with neurodivergent supervisors who want a neuro-informed and neuro-affirming space to explore their practice. I work face-to-face in Norwich UK, and also online. I also offer consultation and information sessions for neurotypical therapists and coaches working with neurodivergent clients.
About Me and How I Work
My theoretical approach is integrative: specifically, my work is orientated towards humanistic and creative models of therapy, and taking an anti-oppressive stance. As a supervisor I prefer to work collaboratively to support you to be curious and reflective about your client work, although I do and will offer my thoughts and guidance as and when helpful. In my client work I focus on developing positive neurodivergent senses of identity and the effects of chronic trauma, and these are key areas of interest for me as a supervisor and educator. My background is someone who came into academia from a working-class, multi-cultural London neighbourhood and issues of class and intersecting identities (and how these can be experienced as marginalisation) are also of interest to me as they show up in therapy. I am also interested in using creative and expressive writing in therapy; I am the author of Poetry and Therapy: Why Words Help (PCCS Books, 2025).
I work with individuals and with mini-groups (2-3 supervisees).
Professional Experience and Qualifications
My core training is a BSc in integrative psychotherapeutic counselling (Middlesex, 2010), EMCC Coaching Qualification (2018) and a PhD in Counselling Studies (UEA, 2020). I also hold the British Psychological Society Prim. Certificate in Coaching Supervision and am currently completing the Awareness Centre Diploma in Supervisory Practice (2025).
In addition, I hold a separate doctorate (Dundee, 2000) and other degrees in literature and poetics which means I have a great deal of expertise and experience in working with creative writing and in running therapeutic writing groups.
